As demonstrated in the documentary Cast Away, coconuts make you go insane and start talking to volleyballs. Also demonstrated in that movie they are not a adequate source of the nutrients necessary for survival. The unfounded statements of this article could kill someone trapped on a deserted island because they would believe they could live on their "coconut republic!"
